every store whether mail order or walk-in has a certain flavor or theme, if not
a main mission. Sears Roebuck started out in circa 1890’s with their mail order
“Wish Book.” Illinois based Sharper Image is famous for advanced technology
“state of the art” personal things that we just can’t do without. We here at
Magna Labs (and Magna Marketing Inc.) have spent years as investigative
journalists scouring the aviation scene testing and objectively analyzing new
and technologically advanced if not sometimes unusual products for several
national consumer orientated magazines. In addition to independent lab tests,
these state of the art designs have been tested “hands on” in our
cockpits and under our own cowls!
While
most all of the gear we evaluated over the years worked and had merit (else it
wouldn’t have probably found its way to FAA approval or production),
occasionally we found a true bell-ringer design or advanced technology
that absolutely stands out as being superb, if not something that every
performance minded pilot, boat, or auto enthusiast would love-especially once
they learned more about it. That is the kind of gear and needful things
you will find here; items that have tested far superior to anything comparable,
or items and designs sporting technological advances that allow it to be far
better than anything that has come before. In fact, you may even say some of the
designs are ahead of their time, kinda like the Mooney M20 back when it was
first introduced…
Some of the items we are proud of are perhaps hard to find
elsewhere maybe invented or designed in a small lab or workshop someplace by a
talented dedicated aviator/inventor ostensibly chained to a microscope or
oscilloscope far too long.... Most of these types are brilliant, but don’t know
the first thing about human nature or marketing. That is where we come in.
With that said, make no mistake; everything we offer is noticeably better than
its competition and/or is a new or better mousetrap…
