When It Comes To Gear We Sell, Field Research And Lab Tests Came First

By very nature I am highly inquisitive but also skeptical of most product claims, especially stuff that comes in a bottle or can or electronic gear hidden in a black box.  In some ways, I am probably a performance minded gadget freak with an eye out for new products that can do things better.  Prior to testing some items like RejeX, electronic battery de-sulfators, and CamGuard (for example) we were highly skeptical.  We took these products to independent labs where they blew away competitive products!  Like most everything else you will see here, these items tested to not only work as advertised, but in most areas, were even better!  I believe that if used properly advanced technology gear like BatPac electronic pulse de-sulfators, CamGuard, (REAL Gaskets) engine gaskets that don't leak and deteriorate, and CorrosionX, can make flying more fun, safer, and noticeably more reliable all the while making aircraft ownership and maintenance more economical..

De-sulfators can keep your battery up to full rated capacity (something few pilots recognize the significance of) as resorting to dead reckoning in the dark or while IFR is no time to learn/remember how to hand-crank your gear down! and RejeX makes it much easier to keep bugs, grit, and even water from sticking to nearly any surface including your windshield, wings, or boat/jet ski bottom.   Read more about these electronic battery friendly marvels here and read more about RejeX and another great product CorrosionX here.

We can’t say enough about the state of the art engine oil additive package now called CamGuard.  It literally tested “off the charts” in nearly every lab test for engine oils that we know of by an independent lab.  We recognize this sounds like “snake oil”, but with that risk out on the table, we think it is nothing short of magic.  Learn more about this near magic, advanced technology, oil additive package here.

Especially with the advent of ANR headsets, I think it is near idiotic for retracts to only have monotone gear horns on-board. Embarrassed pilot after pilot has complained to me (many in tears) that they simply "didn't hear the gear horn" over their ANRs.  Make no mistake, Audio Gear Alerts not only work, they work well...  Just in case you don't sport a red cape and blue tights with a big "S" on your chest when you fly, we offer them here as it just got lots easier not to join "The GUp Club...".

When engines leak oil often it is the first sign of something bad about to happen.  So when we find a superior gasket like REAL gaskets, we take notice.  There is little doubt REAL silicone gaskets are orders of magnitude better than cork or neoprene and they go a long way to help keep your engine dry.

We didn’t start out with the thought to sell these products and ones like the little but well-made M20 Cockpit Buddy T-Driver.  As an investigative journalist we were only looking for new and interesting gear to evaluate for several consumer orientated aviation magazines.  In fact you may say we sort of “backed into” the business when we saw the "best of the best" wasn’t getting the exposure we thought they deserved in the market, especially when many of them had clear safety advantages.  What we often find is that superior products don’t necessarily always find enough acceptance in the market just because they are better than their competition.

So if you are reading this, there is a good chance you will appreciate our main mission:  To provide unusual and maybe hard to find technologically advanced aeronautical gear that has proven to be exceptional in design, functionality, and effect.
